An average guy who works in a recycling plant wakes up one morning to discover that he's become inexplicably famous.

We follow 24 hours in the life of a being moving from life to life like a cold and solitary assassin moving from hit to hit. The homicide squad is assigned a bloody novice. The gangster slyly exploits this weakness. He sets his stunning girlfriend on him and blackmails him into complicity. An oil sheik's luxury yacht docks in the harbor. From all over the world, the head gamblers are expected with pockets full of money for a hot night of gambling. The planning for the super coup is ready. The best specialists are hired.

After a businessman is captured by kidnappers, his rescue seems incumbent on a group of filmmakers, rather than a lackluster police force -- a premise that is matched by the rest of this movie. The kidnapping victim rambles on philosophically with his captors, who end up leaving him alone -- thereby providing him with a chance to escape. As he makes a break for it, he is literally hounded by some guard dogs. Then there are also some interviews with people who know one of the kidnappers, though it is not clear why. Neither the victim, nor the kidnappers, nor the filmmakers can compete with the canines, the only protagonists who add some bite to the action.

"Cocktail Molotov" is the story of the adventures of this threesome, who reach Venice only to learn of the outbreak of the May 1968 disturbances at home. Once again, Anne, Frederic and Bruno realize that the important things of their time are happening somewhere where they are not. Swindled out of their car and virtually broke, they hitchhike back to Paris, hoping to arrive in time for some of the excitement.
