Lorenzo Jerald Patterson (born June 16, 1969), better know by his stage name MC Ren, is a rapper from Compton, California. He was a member of the pioneering gangsta rap group N.W.A from their inception in the mid 1980s to their disbandment in the early '90s, after which he went on to a solo career.
