Haruo, a director, auditions for a film already partially shot in Taiwan. Thus he meets Ma, a young Taiwanese skater just as disoriented as he is.

After the death of his father, Chihiro goes to live with his older half-brother Togo and his girlfriend Satomi. Togo and Satomi greet him with open arms, but Chihiro feels loneliness. He attends his friend Naoya's interpretive dance practice-- and becomes more and more interested in Naoya's personal matters.

Noboru (Taku Manabe) finds himself in a very difficult situation. The factory he’s been working at has gone bankrupt. He heads to the factory’s office to demand his last paycheque, but it turns out some gangster thugs are there demanding money as well. Now with the yakuza on his tail Noboru has to run for his life. It’s while Noboru is living in this rooming house and working as a security guard on a construction site that he encounters a cast of unusual characters: a fellow security guard who is obsessed by fossils, an aging widow on the edge of sanity, and a beautiful alcoholic woman named Miyuki (Natsumi Seto) who is convinced that she I growing a wing on her back. Will Noboru be able to stay hidden or will his newfound infatuation with Miyuki prove more dangerous than the thugs who are hunting him?

The story of a strange living situation in a 2LDK apartment in suburban Tokyo. There are five residents ranging in age from eighteen to twenty-eight. They are not in any way romantically involved with one another, but one can see subtle hints of affection and friendship among them. In the end, however, none of them really know each other.
