Russian pop stars are flying to Baku for the "Heat" festival. Among them is Dasha Steklova, a talented debutante whose fame began with a victory in a popular musical TV show. Dasha doesn't want to play by the rules and craves creative freedom. In Baku, having quarreled with her producer (and also a young man), the girl runs away. In a fabulous city breathing music and sunshine, she is waiting for a lot of adventures and romantic encounters that will help Dasha fulfill her dream and become truly happy.

Konstantin, a songwriter and master guitarist, runs away from numerous problems to the nature reserve Mikhailovskoye. Kostya has long lost any way of income and has almost given up hope to be heard, living by sheer inertia and often drawing on alcohol. His wife and daughter are going to Canada, and in his head he constantly turns around the question: what exactly has gone wrong? How can he put it right? Does anyone need his creative work at all, or has he just talked himself into that? Maybe Konstantin has enough energy to change things, but he strongly doubts that: indeed, why and for whom should he try. Nevertheless, the nature reserve is the right place to collect his thoughts, break the minefield of his own life into sections, and get to work.

The Voice Kids is a Russian reality television singing competition broadcast on Channel One. Based on the original The Voice Kids of Holland, the concept of the series is to find currently unsigned singing talent contested by aspiring singers, age 6 to 15, drawn from public auditions.

The show's name is a reference to the 80s TV program "Прожектор Перестройки" - a program that was discussing current events on Soviet television during the times of Perestroika - and American socialite Paris Hilton, who, according to Svetlakov, symbolizes lack of taste. Thus, the name of the show implies that this is a current events program that shouldn't be taken seriously.
