Two big game hunters are on safari in the jungle with their African guide. They observe zebras, ostrich and a hippopotamus, and catch a small monkey for a pet. During the night they are awakened by a lion which kills a small goat and then the hunters' horse. The hunters shoot the lion as it stands by the water on a beach. They discover another lion and shoot it also. The lions are gutted and skinned. The happy hunters sit and smoke cigarettes afterward.

When his wife dies, knight Svend Dyring gets married to noble Mrs. Guldborg. Little does the good knight know that Mrs. Guldborg is in fact pure evil, and that she and her daughter Ragnhild torment the knight’s children when he’s not home. One day, when Svend Dyring is injured in a hunting accident, the eldest daughter Regitze takes upon herself to take care of her father. Scene 2: The young man is courting a woman and is rejected on account of another suitor. Scene 3: The older man receives a telegram about a shipwreck. The news almost drives him to take his own life. Scene 4: The two men are now standing outside a shop and seem happy again. A woman is sitting with a child on her lap, perhaps belonging to the young man and the woman he previously pursued. The film was directed by Viggo Larsen, who, as far as we know, directed all films for Denmark’s first film company, Nordisk Films Kompagni, in the period between 1906 and 1909. A young girl reads an ad in the newspaper and enthusiastically shows it to a young man, who cares for her. She leaves on the train; the young man gives her a carrier pigeon. At the end of the journey, she meets with a lady, who takes her to her house. The girl is given an evening dress and taken to a salon filled with revellers. She fights off their advances and is locked in her room. Realizing that she has ended up in a brothel, she sends off the pigeon with a message. The young man gets the message and arrives at the brothel with the police. He takes the girl away with him, but after the police have left, the remaining revellers cheerfully continue their debaucheries.

The scene is set on a castle in the mid-18th century. The princess loves a young man from the court, but the king wants her married to an older, wealthier suitor. Hoping for a miracle to happen, the princess refuses his marriage proposal. (Stumfilm.dk)
