A goal kicking comedy drama about girls who are abandoning the sidelines and starting their local football club’s first all-female team. Against the odds, they’ll stand united and overcome any challenge the club, the boys or the opposition can throw at them, all while wrestling with what it means to be a girl today.

Tim and John fell in love while teenagers at their all-boys high school. John was captain of the football team, Tim an aspiring actor playing a minor part in Romeo and Juliet. Their romance endured for 15 years in the face of everything life threw at it – the separations, the discrimination, the temptations, the jealousies and the losses – until the only problem that love can't solve tried to destroy them.

Benny and Grandad are best friends and never leave each other's side. They also run the most successful light refreshment stand in town. Yet all could change when an old neighbour decides to get in the way.
