The contentment of community turns upside down as an American film crew invades its serenity. Seduction, greed, and betrayal devastates them all.

The simple humorous life of Hassouna a real estate agent living peacefully with his wife Hayet, where his story takes place between his house, his office and the thrift store of his friend Babboucha.

Following the arrival of the New Year, Slimane's wife, Zeineb, suggests spending New Year's Eve in a hotel. Meanwhile, his mother Douja, desperate to have her date canceled, makes a plan with Slimane's mother, Fadhila, to leave with them. The couple then meets for this evening with their mothers, as well as Sboui, his wife Azza and his children. Sboui, Slimane's brother, continues to do stupid things at the hotel which makes the stay unpleasant for the couple. Remaining in Tunis, Fouchika finds himself alone with Béji. He had planned this evening with his friend Sboui but finds himself with his former boss because he is having marital problems. However, Béji receives a phone call from his wife and reconciles with her. Shortly after, Béji leaves to join his wife at her in-laws, leaving Fouchika alone.

Following the arrival of the New Year, Slimane's (Kamel Touati) wife, Zeineb (Jamila Chihi), offers to go and spend it in a hotel. Meanwhile, her mother Douja, desperate to have canceled her date, is putting together a plan with Fadhila (Mouna Noureddine) which consists of leaving with them that day. The couple then finds themselves for this evening with Sboui, his wife, his children and their mothers. Sboui begins to make mistakes (forgetting his brother's suitcase on the bus, buying drinks, destroying the swing and stolen belongings in the hotel), which makes the stay unpleasant for the couple.

Alex Randal (Stephen Moyer), a young reporter on the make, decides, without knowing anything about the situation, to go to Beirut on October 23, 1983, when he hears a radio report about suicide trucks exploding on both an American base and a French base, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of soldiers. Seduced by a gifted and enigmatic photographer, Julia Muller (Anne Parillaud), Randal finds a capitol torn by civil war, where political, financial and strategic interests intertwine.

The events of the sitcom take place in an old hotel located in the middle of the ancient Medina and follow the daily life of the working staff and the family of the hotel owner.
