Sigga and Didi are sisters who lost their mother when very young and were separated. Since then their lives have taken very different paths and their characters have come as different as black and white. When they meet in their twenties the pair take a run through Reykjavik, ripping off drug smugglers and dealers and partying while escaping from the thugs.

The film chronicles a long-ago time when men relied not on their intellect to make points, but on their swords. A mythical warrior ('Ralf Moeller (I)') wanders the snow-capped landscapes of the North territories on an arduous quest for vengeance. Amid nobles and schemers, saints and brutes, and lovers and fools, this Viking swings his sword for his family's honor, his beloved's hand, and the very survival of his pitiless culture.

Two young friends, Lass and Sveppi, run a nightclub in downtown Reykjavik. They hire a beautiful young singer, Sól, who has just moved from the countryside to the city in order to take singing lessons. The boys make a bet which one will get the girl into bed first. As times goes on, Lass realises that he is in love with Sól and wants to give up the bet. Sveppi, on the other hand, has no interest in giving up the bet.
