If it's tough getting hitched, Malligadu is the man people come looking for. His marriage bureau specialises in finding partners for people who otherwise find it impossible to find a match. Not long after, Malligadu himself meets his match but it is not easy for him to handle the situation.

The film is set in the Nelakondapalli village of khammam district in Nizam Princely State of Hyderabad of the late 1940s. The feudal society is under the vice-like grip of an aristocratic family and its head, a Dorasani (Shwetha Menon).
