Everyone in Jolliefontein, a small rural town, is in a frenzy about the upcoming rugby match. A TV license inspector, while searching for licenses, crashes a few friends' rugby afternoon in front of the TV and suddenly dies. What should be done with the body now?

Orkney Snork Nie, a popular Afrikaans sitcom, originally broadcast by the SABC in South Africa. The name translates directly into Orkney Doesn't Snore, but the message being conveyed in Afrikaans is that the town isn't sleepy, there's always something happening.

"Hoesê!" This is a film based on the South African sitcom by the same name; such name referring to the manual telephone system operated by one of the cast. During the 1960s the Afrikaans radio service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation presented a series on the adventures of a super secret agent, Staal Burger, a character created by the well-known SABC broadcaster Fanus Rautenbach. "STAAL BURGER" had an enormous following among listeners - the rich playboy with an eye for a pretty girl, his fast cars and his straight-punching way with the bad guys. Daan Retief, who played the role of Staal Burger in the radio series, reprises his role for the movie. He is assisted by Staal's sidekicks, Willem (Sarel Breed) and Dada (Miems de Bruyn).
