Jacek is a foodie, gay and Warsaw bon vivant who has his own TV show, several similarly eccentric close ones around him and self-destructive tendencies. A dramedy that makes fun of the Polish artistic elite, for whom Warsaw is “the only real Polish city”, cannot be compared to other shows. It is the authorial work of playwright and screenwriter Pawel Demirski. He wrote it from the beginning with the intention of presenting a hero contrasting with the burnout syndrome often felt today - a vital madman who believes the best is yet to come.

One of the passengers on a ship carrying Poles on a cruise in December 1981 is a dissident high school teacher sent abroad by Solidarity. He is under surveillance of the secret police, anxious to get their hands on the info that he is carrying. When the ship is in the middle of the Baltic sea, martial law is declared and the ship is militarized. The captain announces he will turn and return the home port. Many anguished passengers put the life vests on and jump into the sea, where they are picked up by two German ships. The teacher, however, decides to return to Poland and continue the struggle for freedom.

Tomek comes from the so-called good family. However, she cannot find a common language with her parents. They are not very interested in what their child is doing. Tomek falls in love with nurse Ania, who becomes pregnant. He is friends with Mariusz, who is a member of his team. Mariusz lives in an orphanage. There he has problems with a certain drug addict. Tomek wants to help him, but his parents don't like it. They want Tomek to break off contacts with Ania and Mariusz. They believe that this is not company for their son.

On a sunny summer morning, a day before the wedding, the groom's parents visit the bride's parents. They all quickly discover that it is not their spouses who are their soul mates. As a result of the meeting, the couples reshuffle and two new relationships are formed. They start to drift away from each other, especially after their children's text message saying that the wedding is called off, as the bride and groom got in an argument and broke up. One of the couples starts behaving as if it took over the bride and groom's place. They practice their dance, taste wedding dishes, and finally, begin to interfere with the wedding decoration. The other couple tries to restore everything to its original state, to eventually respond with aggression, giving rise to a rapidly escalating conflict.
