It was the fourth event under the Victory Road name and the seventh event in the 2008 TNA PPV schedule. It was the third World X Cup Tournament and the last held as of 2020. The competition began on June 10, 2008 and concluded on July 13, 2008 at TNA's Victory Road pay-per-view (PPV) event. The tournament featured several international wrestlers alongside several TNA wrestlers. The theme of the contest was four competing teams, each representing a specific country or organization. However, the 2008 competition featured the debut of Team International, which represented several countries and cultures.

Wrestle Kingdom in Tokyo Dome (レッスルキングダム in 東京ドーム, Ressuru Kingudamu in Tōkyō Dōmu) (sequentially known as Wrestle Kingdom I) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event co-produced by the New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) promotions, which took place at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on January 4, 2007. It was the 16th January 4 Tokyo Dome Show and the first held under the new "Wrestle Kingdom" name. The show marked the 35th anniversary celebration for NJPW, who teamed up with one-time rival promotion AJPW to produce the show. Headlined by two title matches, contested for NJPW's top title, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and AJPW's top title, the Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, as well as the reunion of Keiji Mutoh and Masahiro Chono, all in all, the event featured nine matches.

Final Battle 2005 was a professional wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on December 17, 2005 at the Inman Sports Complex in Edison, New Jersey. The show featured the ROH debut of Pro Wrestling NOAH stars KENTA and Naomichi Marufuji.

Steel Cage Warfare was a professional wrestling event promoted by Ring of Honor. It took place on December 3, 2005 at the Basketball City in New York, New York. The show’s name comes from its main event, as rival factions Generation Next and The Embassy were set to end their six-month long feud in the first ever Steel Cage Warfare match.
