Forty-year-old misanthrope, Guy Trilby (Jason Bateman), enters the National Golden Quill Spelling Bee through a loophole in the rules.

When the entire world blacks out for two minutes and seventeen seconds, everyone sees a flash of their own future 6 months from the present. Rules of Engagement is a comedy about the different phases of male/female relationships, as seen through the eyes of a newly engaged couple, Adam and Jennifer, a long-time married pair, Jeff and Audrey, and a single guy on the prowl, Russell. As they find out, the often confusing stages of a relationship can seem like being on a roller coaster. People can describe the ride to you, but to really know what it's like you have to experience it for yourself.

At home and school, she's Miley Stewart, a typical teenager, but when the lights go down and the curtain goes up, she emerges as the glamorous and talented Hannah Montana.
