Michelle Johnston, a highly sought-after director, choreographer, and movement coach, has over 20 years of experience in the business. In front of the camera or behind it, Michelle always brings her experience and expertise to the table. Michelle’s latest directorial work is the Nickelodeon made-for-TV movie, “Blurt”, starring Jace Norman and JoJo Siwa. She also recently directed and produced the 2016 film, “A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits” for Freeform and Disney Channel. Her work as a choreographer can be seen on television in such shows as “Castle”, “Mistresses”, “Parks & Recreation”, “American Dreams”, and “Mad Men”, and in films like “A Cinderella Story”, “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”, and “Gangster Squad”. Michelle has also worked with such stars as Jane Krakowski, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Demi Moore, and John Travolta to name a few.

Michelle served as choreographer on Madonna’s “Who’s That Girl” World Tour and segments of the “Girlie Show” World Tour which took her career to a whole new level. She has worked with artists like Alicia Keys, Ritchie Sambora, Lil’ Kim, Hillary Duff, and Kelly Rowland. Michelle has also been in demand in the Broadway scene, working with Oscar nominated actress, Lesley Ann Warren in “Dream” as well as touring with the Tony Award winning show, “Fosse” in one of the lead roles. Michelle continues to find new and exciting venues in which to develop and showcase her broad scope of talent.

American Dreams is an American television drama program broadcast on the NBC television network, produced by Once A Frog and Dick Clark Productions in association with Universal Network Television and NBC Studios. The series was created by Jonathan Prince and developed by Josh Goldstein and Prince; the latter was also one of the executive producers with Dick Clark. It debuted on September 29, 2002. The show is set mostly in Philadelphia. It initially aired on Sundays at 8:00 pm Eastern time, but moved to the same time on Wednesdays from March 9, 2005, to the third season finale. The show tells the story of the Pryor family of Philadelphia during the mid-1960s. Season one takes place in 1963–64, season two in 1964–65, and season three in 1965–66. The show was known as Our Generation when it debuted in Australia, however it was changed back to American Dreams when it returned for the second season. The theme song "Generation" was written and performed by Emerson Hart, lead singer of the band Tonic. The song earned Hart an ASCAP award for Best Theme Song of Television in 2003. The show was the 2003 TV Land Awards "Future Classic" winner.
