Zack wanders through an unknown place. His only clue is a valuable diamond. As Zack flees from "13," he seeks to unveil his past and the secret of the diamond, embarking on a journey into the unknown during which he must fight to survive.

Carmen accompanies a group of women who must travel from the island of Vieques to San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico, in order to perform breast biopsies. The long journey is by water and road. Amid many fears and vicissitudes, Carmen confirms once again the need for appropriate medical services for both women and for the rest of the Vieques population.

It’s a somewhat alternate near future... Puerto Rico is losing confidence in its political parties that for years took over loyal fanatics. The people elected with its eyes closed their first independent governor in the country’s history only to have his corrupted regime overthrown by rebels. The country has revolved. Added to this chaos is the fact that a mysterious virus, which has taken over our water supply from rivers and lakes, has infected a large portion of the citizens with symptoms like skin deterioration, extreme sensibility to sounds, and, in a matter of days, death.

A handful of immigrants make a bittersweet pilgrimage back to the land of their birth in this comedy drama. Ten people who have little in common beyond the fact they were all originally from Puerto Rico and now live in New York, discover they've won a contest giving them each a free, all-expenses paid vacation -- in Puerto Rico. While some are eager to visit the place they once called home, others are nervous about what they will find and wary about confronting the people and things they left behind.

Based on the short story from Puerto Rican writer Abelardo Díaz Alfaro, it tells the story of a poor family on the eve of the Christmas celebration of the Three Kings.
