Filmmaker, screenwriter and producer Hemanth M. Rao is best known for his critically acclaimed directorial debut Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu (2016), which featured Anant Nag and Rakshit Shetty in leading roles. Besides this, he had also worked as an associate director in movies like Gulabi Talkies (2008) and Prithvi (2010) prior to his independent directorial debut. The investigative noir thriller Kavalu Daari (2018) marks Hemanth`s second outing as a filmmaker, while the satirical comedy Humble Politician Nograj (2018) is among his notable film credits as a producer. His 2019 release includes Kavaludaari.

In the fifth film in the series, in 1910, the Jones family attends a meeting of the Theosophy movement in Benares, India. There young Indy befriends a young boy named Jiddu Krishnamurti who is presented by the society to be the next world teacher and possible messiah. Traveling on to China, mother Jones takes Miss Seymour and Indy on a sightseeing trip while father meets with Chinese translator Yen Fu. Indy becomes ill during a rain storm and the travelers seek shelter with a poor Chinese family. Despite the misgivings of his mother, a local doctor is allowed to treat the boy with acupuncture.
