The musical biography of the 1970s Hong Kong rock band The Wynners. Starting with their humble beginnings as band causing noise in the neighborhood, through to their career of massive stars throughout Asia.

Eric Tsang and stars are back with another entry into the "I Love Hong Kong" franchise this Chinese New Year with a story that is set in the 1970s, a decade of economic growth and prosperity for Hong Kong and the citizens.

Tens of millennia ago, eight gods who ceaselessly fought each other were exiled to earth. For generations, they have been reincarnated as mere mortals, and they won't be allowed back to heaven until they've learned to coexist in harmony. Then in today's Hong Kong, a mortuary beautician and her has-been singer dad are chased for a huge sum of money they don't owe. Turns out her materialistic stepmom has taken a tycoon's advance payment on the false promise of organizing a concert that she can't deliver. The family is therefore forced to go on the run, and along the way they meet an assortment of quirky people, including a mute baker, a kung fu cab driver, an aspiring musician and her crafty sidekick. Through a series of comic misadventures, the seven of them come to realize that they used to be gods and have a mission in this life, but...who is the eighth god that has yet to rejoin them?

Jackie Chan stars as Asian Hawk, an Indiana Jones-style adventurer looking to make a fortune in exotic antiquities. After Hawk discovers a mysterious sword in Africa, a band of Satan-worshipping monks kidnap his ex-girlfriend Lorelei, demanding the sword as ransom as well as other pieces of the legendary Armour of God - a magical outfit dating back to the Crusades.

Two men, Yun-Fat Chow and Kenny Bee, are both married and unhappy. Together they make diverse plans to murder their wives.

This film is a Hong Kong version of the British Carry On films, this one specifically set in a hospital. The hospital is full of inept people, so Miss Kuk (Meg Lam) vows to the board that she will reform it. This involves the recruitment of student nurses, keeping in check some silly interns and dealing with Dr. Chen, whose wife just left him.

Lee Kam Lun (Alan Tam) is an intelligent but psychologically unstable young man who is very filial and loves his mum(Pik Wan Tang) dearly. Trouble brews when he accidentally killed a junkie one night. His subsequent actions arouse the suspicion of another intelligent Inspector (Bill Tung), who kick start a game of cat and mouse by befriending Lee's mum as he tries to expose Lee as the killer. Director Ronny Yu (Fearless, The Bride With White Hair) gives us an effective and tight psychological thriller with some dark humor and plot twists in one of his earlier directorial effort. Those who grew up in Hong Kong in the 1970s definitely remember the Wynners, a band formed by Alan Tam, Kenny Bee, Bennett Pang, Danny Yip, and Anthony Chan. They first dabbled into the film industry with Let's Rock in 1975, and in 1978 Taiwanese director Chen Yao Chi created another Wynners movie Making It. With a script tailored for the Wynners, youth film Making It is an updated Chinese version of The Prince and the Pauper. Five up-and-coming young music lovers, played by none other but the Wynners, overcome a lot of difficulties before they have a chance to perform at a restaurant. However, one of the band members, Alan (Alan Tam), suddenly feels ill and is hospitalized. His four friends fortunately come across the rich Sylvester (also Alan Tam) who looks exactly like Alan, and the four desperate band members ask him to take Alan's place for the performance. Meanwhile, Sylvester's parents, busily fetching Sylvester to fulfill an arranged marriage, mistake Alan as Sylvester...

The five members of the band the Wynners are all packing up, ready for a singing tour in USA. Uncle Kau, a boss of a triad, planning to exchange their guitars with narcotics inside with the Wynners', so that their narcotics can be carried to USA. But he fails, as the Wynners has to cancel their plan, for a fire broke out in the night club. Uncle Kau thus dispatches three of his followers Wo, Anny and Jane to steal back the guitars.
