In 1950s France, a free-spirited woman trapped in an arranged marriage falls in love with an injured veteran of the Indochinese War.

Two brothers build a cabin in a swamp. While the youngest continues to fantasize a complicity already lost with his big brother, their new place is gradually invaded by a threatening presence.
