Evan Farmer

Evan Farmer

Born: July 28, 1972
Evan Farmer brings a diverse array of talents to TLC's "While You Were Out" (2002) as the host of the hit home design series. In addition to his music career and roles on screens large and small, Evan studied architecture at Tulane University and has worked as a draftsman and as a graphics designer at several firms. He also owns his own business (Renovolution) renovating single-family homes, and has a strong interest in carpentry and restoration. Evan's on-camera presence, combined with his education and real-life experiences, make him a perfect fit to host While You Were Out. Evan is well known for his television role in which he portrayed heartthrob Jerry O'Keefe, in MTV's smash-hit and first ever Made-For-TV-Movie 2gether (2000) (TV). He also recorded lead vocals for the soundtrack and follow up album, which together went platinum worldwide. The success of the movie spawned a weekly MTV series of the same name, with Evan continuing in the lead role. Evan has also guest hosted MTV's "Total Request Live" (1998) for Carson Daly - the cable networks most-watched program. The popularity of 2gether (2000) (TV) led Evan to an even bigger showcase for his talent performing as an opening act for Britney Spears during her 2000 "Oops I Did It Again" summer tour. Evan also previously toured with the hit Russian Pop-Rock group "Ha-Ha" (pronounced Na-Na), where he sang and played guitar in sold-out arenas throughout Russia. Evan also has a film career and has acted in films such as Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) and Shaft (2000) starring Samuel L. Jackson. Evan's small screen credits include guest-starring roles on the television series "JAG" (1995) and a recurring role on CBS's "The Guiding Light" (1952). Evan also lent his voice talent to the popular animated comedy series "Daria" (1997), for three years. Evan currently resides in New York City. IMDb Mini Biography By: Discovery Press Release 2004
