A small town news team discovers a box of video tapes where a faceless figure dressed in a dark suit, haunts and torments a family...slowly driving them insane. Soon after, they realize that the "Operator" has begun to stalk them as well.

As the streets of Los Angeles overflow with camera-wielding gawkers seeking to capture images of a bizarre police pursuit, the same people who sought to exploit the suffering of others for amusement on the Internet become the stars of a gruesome viral video from which no one gets out alive.

Iris, the beautiful girlfriend of amateur videographer Kevin, is abducted by a mysterious ice-cream truck while trying to shoot a viral video. As Kevin chases after the van, he films everything, including chaos and murder.
