Caterino is a worker at the Ilva factory in Taranto. When the company executives decide to use him as a spy to identify the workers they should get rid of, Caterino starts to track his colleagues, in search of reasons to report them. He then asks to be assigned himself to the Palazzino LAF where as punishment, some employees sit out their time with no job assignment. There he discovers that what looks like paradise is actually a strategy to psychologically break troublesome workers.

In Italy, where the conservative government seeks to imprison all transgender individuals as a threat to traditional family values, Lea (45), a transgender woman held in isolation in a remote mountain prison, falls into a deep depression. As imaginary scenarios shape in her mind, the country erupts into social conflict and Lea will have the opportunity, mixing reality and imagination, to find a role that restores her will to live and fight for her freedom, and for the freedom of all transgender people.

Elia (Sergio Rubini) has no intention of leaving his ghost town of Providence which was struck by an earthquake years earlier. While he spends his days in the company of the memories of his wife and his idyllic past life, the rest of the population has moved downstream into the new community housing. Every so often, someone comes to visit him: the local teacher, his friend Gesualdo, and the mayor. But it is a different and wholly unexpected presence which begins to turn Elia’s solitary life upside-down.

Andrea and Filippo love each other and have been together for many years, which is why Andrea thinks the time has come to get married and registers a request with the municipality with his own name, as if it were that of a woman: Mrs. Andrea Viglione. Being civilly united with Filippo is not enough for him, he wants marriage. He doesn't know, however, that many issues will have to be resolved before that day. First of all, Filippo doesn't find the courage to tell his father and grandfather that he is gay. But Filippo isn't the only one who doesn't have the courage to tell the truth in his family. Also Anna, Andrea's mother, who has rebuilt her life in the United States is unable to tell her husband Anthony and her son Jimmy that Andrea is gay. Especially since Anthony is running for governor of Kansas for the conservatives and his son Jimmy, while still a child, is already a talented evangelical preacher of strict principles.
