In 1936 Madrid, an idealistic doctor's life changes forever when he shelters a wounded spy and joins a decades-long fight against the spread of fascism.

A new doctor has just arrived at a nursing home, where he meets a patient tormented by a past which he cannot remember. This doctor will help him do it, without anticipating the consequences.

Manuel, a Spanish politician whose high-class lifestyle is based on nefarious and illegal business threatens to break his entire party after a newspaper exposes him to the public eye.
