A mysterious movie!

Epic drama about China's first emperor (221 BC) who struggles to make his childhood best friend, now China's greatest composer, succumb to his will and compose a grand anthem to his exploits.

This film is based on the life of Kawashima Yoshiko, originally Manchu princess who was the 14th daughter of Emperor Xu, later brought up as a Japanese and served as a spy in the service of the Japanese Kwantung Army and Manchukuo during the Second World War.

An old mansion, sealed for years, re-opens as a museum. A ghost is sighted by the museum's guide, our heroine, who has fallen for a social outcast, a scientist obsessed with finding ghosts with his machines.
