Only Andrey does not give up - day after day he fosters his sick mother, saves money and compiles documents to take her to Germany for treatment. But the fate is merciless to the main character - his mom dies the day before the departure - Andrey's world turned upside down - He hits the road to talk to his sister, to look into his father's eyes, to understand himself... "The Son" is a parable, a dream. The film is based upon a simple story about complicated relationships between a son and his parents and, what is most important, with himself. The relationships that end in tragic outcome.

Lyubanya must "accidentally" get acquainted with him and pretend to be his ideal, and when he falls in love with the "woman of his dreams" — leave him. Then Simkina will appear to "glue" Valeriy's broken heart, and at the same time their broken relationship. Out of desperation, Lyubanya joins in this game, but very quickly realizes that she has fallen in love. The heroine faces the question: how to tell Valeriy the truth about himself and their "casual" acquaintance?

Nurse Tatyana lives in a quiet provincial town. Everything seems to be going well with her: there is a good job at the hospital and friends who are ready to support at any moment. It was in this difficult period for her that the heroine meets a man who is ready to help. He loves her and wants to make her happy. Tatiana begins to believe that the wedding is just around the corner, and her recovery is just a matter of time. But such a successful development of events does not suit Tatyana's best friend, and he begins to plot. Will he succeed in destroying the heroine’s just-settled life and again returning her to the abyss of hopelessness and disbelief in herself?
