We meet the characters in their everyday lives, works and ordinary behaviours, and question ourselves about the meaning of sacrifice in the secular world.

After spending some time in a hospital, Ewa returns to her Polish village to work on a wild rose plantation. Meanwhile, her relationship with her two children is strained, in particular with the headstrong Marysia, who is approaching her first communion. As things pile up for Ewa, she starts to realize that the time has come to make some difficult decisions.

This film shows the last days of Pasolini’s life that he spent in Stockholm. He was invited to visit the Institute of Culture and give an interview in the Swedish Film Institute. Together with his boyfriend Ninetto they stayed in Diplomat Hotel. Where he was murdered at 1.30 a.m. on 2nd November; 1975.
