Jimi, a computer game designer, finds that his latest product has been infected by a virus which has given consciousness to the main character of the game, Solo. Tormented by the memory of his fled girlfriend Lisa and begged by Solo to end its useless "life", Jimi begins a search for people who can help him both to discover what happened to Lisa and to delete his game before it is released.

A black cloud travels across country, kills animals and plants and dries up the rivers. When the cloud reaches Fantaghiro's kingdom she meets Prince Parsel who follows the cloud to get his stolen castle back. After her castle vanishes, too, Fantaghiro joins Parsel on his journey to find her home, her people, her family and her love.

The king desires nothing more than a male heir. But his wife gives birth to a girl Fantaghiró. When she refuses to marry years later, she is sent in the forest where she learns how to ride and fight like a man. She appears disguised in a duel with Prince Romualdo, the son of her father's adversary. Both fall in love, but their marriage brings no peace to the united kingdom. Evil forces are trying to seize power.
