Unlike the previous albums, this one will be recorded in a studio featuring a full orchestra, a 60 person choir, a full rock band and video game composers from around the world. Each segment will be personally arranged and orchestrated by their original composers and use input from the game designers, developers, and publishers.

G4tv.com, also known as G4tv: The Show or simply G4tv, is a weekly video game talk show that aired on G4 and was produced by Laura Foy. The questions and polls used on the show were from the G4tv.com discussion forums live chatroom and were on any topic concerning games or the technology of gaming. At least one person who has worked in the video game industry was usually interviewed in each episode. The show was hosted by Tina Wood, Laura Foy, and Geoff Keighley

Icons was a documentary TV show on G4 that originally focused on significant people, companies, products, history, and milestones in world of video games. It was relaunched in 2006 and focused entirely on pop culture. It was cancelled soon afterwards. On May 10, 2006, it was announced that Icons was relaunching on June 3 with an episode focusing on J.J. Abrams. The show will feature a broader scope on things and people "men 18–34 care about, admire and emulate." Future episodes would focus on Marc Ecko, The Onion, and Family Guy. This change in format had been suspected, due to the recent episodes about George A. Romero, Frank Miller and the history of the King Kong franchise. The classic video game themed episodes continued to air on the network sporadically until 2008, under the new name of Game Makers.

Reviews on the Run and "Reviews on the Rock" in the earlier seasons of the Electric Playground is a video game review TV show hosted by Victor Lucas and Scott C. Jones. The show is produced by Lucas' company Greedy Productions. The two hosts rate games independently on a scale of .5 point increments from 0 through 10, with 0 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. As of 2013, Reviews on the Run airs in Canada on G4 Canada and City, with pre-2006 episodes airing on G4 in the United States. The show was previously shown in Canada on CTV Two, Space, Razer, and OMNI.1. The show is filmed on location at several different locales around Vancouver, British Columbia. Episodes are also occasionally recorded in other cities, such as Tokyo, Japan. A common trademark of the show is to have the hosts stand in frame as video game footage is projected onto an object in the background such as a billboard or the side of a building. The show is filmed over the course of several hours and later edited to fit the show's thirty minute time frame.
