The show was created by CPL Productions and Paul Brassey and commissioned by John Kaye Cooper at ITV. The show is very similar to a previous ITV game show, Talking Telephone Numbers, the key difference being that viewers of Magic Numbers can call in if two of the numbers match their phone number, rather than five as on the previous show. This was a technique employed by ITV to generate more calls, and hence higher revenues from the show. Magic Numbers was hosted by Stephen Mulhern when it aired for one series of seven episodes in 2010.

Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour is a travel-style comedy series hosted by Keith Lemon, a character portrayed by comedian Leigh Francis. Celebrity Wrestling is a British television programme, broadcast on ITV in 2005. It involved two teams of celebrities, competing against each other in wrestling style events. CD:UK was a British music television programme. Originally run in conjunction with SMTV Live, the programme first aired on ITV on 29 August 1998 to rival the BBC's Live & Kicking and was the replacement for The Chart Show, which had been airing on the network for nine and a half years. Streetmate was a dating game show in the UK that first aired on Channel 4 from 30 October 1998 to 9 March 2001 and ran for 3 series. It was hosted by Davina McCall. It returned on 27 September 2007 but it moved to ITV2 as part of the channel's XXL Thursday line-up. It was then hosted by Holly Willoughby for one series. The idea behind the series is that the presenter has first to pick an eligible male or female from passers-by, and then with their help, approach equally eligible members of the opposite or the same sex for a date. The couple then go on the date, reporting back on its success or failure.
