In an ordinary looking apartment, a father and daughter play a game of hide-and-seek. While searching for his daughter, she is nowhere to be found... Later, a video is posted which shows the girl holding a sign with a mysterious set of numbers. But what do they mean? She’s the first of several children who disappear without a trace in a small industrial town. Young detectives Varta Naumova and Maksim Shumov take on the complex case and… their own demons. Varta is a distant person and extremely protective of her personal space, while Maksim comes across as an easy-going sociable guy. Both have experienced trauma in their lives, and this case touches them on a deeper level. They become personally vested in finding the children and apprehending the kidnapper as they face their respective pasts.

This is a metaphorical story about the tragic and mysterious death of the most powerful poet of 1960s, human rights activist, hero of Ukraine Vasyl Stus and his struggle with the Soviet system. The events of the film unfold during the last attempt by the KGB to seduce the poet with a whimsical "freedom".

Radio Free Europe, BBC, and Voice of America can only rarely get through the Iron Curtain and Soviet mufflers to Lithuania, a country torn by a war between the local resistance movement and the Soviet regime that is forced onto Lithuanian people by bayonets of the Russian army. Three drug-addicted teenagers are planning their evening. Thanks to them we learn about the Kiev’s nightlife. In a sauna, two discharged cooks are discussing all of Kiev’s restaurants. In eleven episodes, the film provides important and interesting information about the Ukrainian capital Kiev: facts, prices and routes.

For years, Andrei Evilenko eluded the obsessive Detective Lesiev and the psychiatric profiler Aron Richter. Spurred on by his rabid fury at the gradual crumbling of his precious Soviet Union, Evilenko is a man who will live, die and kill as a communist.

Somewhere on the coast, away from the village, a team of road workers lives and works - several families. Their work is hard and meaningless - the road they are constantly repairing leads nowhere and is not needed by anyone. The monotony of this life is broken by a couple who have settled next to each other in a tent, traveling by car. These are people of a different social stratum, a different culture. Their relationship, lifestyle attract the hero of the film - twelve-year-old Yurka. The boy gets closer to the visitors. This leads to a serious conflict with parents and makes them think about their lives.
