The story of a great hero of the Second World War - Captain Witold Pilecki, who, after carrying out military operations, opposed Poland's Soviet domination. His biography shows the heroic, sometimes hopeless, fight with two ruthless totalitarianisms of the 20th century: German and Soviet.

Gerard Edling is a well-to-do lecturer, an expert in kinesics (the science of body language) and a former prosecutor with vast experience. Horst Zeiger is a shy young man, an outsider, a computer geek and... a totally unpredictable murderer. When one of them intends to commit a crime, the other, known for being able to decipher any criminal and solve any case, tries to prevent it. The action of the film begins in the 1970s – even then, the young protagonist knows that adrenaline tastes better than powdered milk. Over time, he also discovers a desire for money, power, and being above the law. A transformation begins, and his gangster talent blossoms. Together with a friend, they build their own army.

Three-year-old Nikola Szlezyngier disappears in unexplained circumstances and her parents Angelika and Dawid are the main suspects. Angelika contacts an old friend Joanna Chylka, a brilliant, cynical and successful lawyer to help. With her new apprentice Kordian, Joanna will try to bring the case to a happy close.

Twenty years after a devastating terrorist attack in 1983 that halted the course of Poland's liberation and the subsequent downfall of the Soviet Union, an idealistic law student Kajetan and a disgraced police investigator Anatol stumble upon a conspiracy that has kept the Iron Curtain standing and Poland living under a repressive police state.

The town is shocked with a brutal double murder. The "Courier" hands the case to an experienced journalist - Witold Wanycz. At the same time, he learns about the mysterious suicide of two teenagers. Together with Piotr, a young journalist, they start their own investigation.
