Kawarasaki Choichiro was a Japanese actor born in Musashino Town, Tokyo. He graduated from Tokyo Metropolitan Musashi High School and dropped out of Waseda University's Department of Literature.

He is the eldest son of Kawarazaki Chojuro IV. His wife is Ito Eiko. His younger brothers are Kawarazaki Jiro and Kawarazaki Kenzo.

At the age of 64, he died of acute heart failure.

After the third marriage ceremony just between Tatsu and Kimiyakko, Tatsu goes off to the place of fighting.
