WrestleMania XXX was the 30th annual WrestleMania professional wrestling PPV event produced by WWE to be held, on April 6, 2014, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The event was the first WrestleMania to be held in the state of Louisiana. This was also the first WWE pay-per-view to broadcast live on the WWE Network service.

Royal Rumble is the twenty-seventh annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It will take place on January 26, 2014 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It will be the first WWE pay-per-view in the 2014 line-up. The main event is scheduled to be Randy Orton defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena with winner by pinfall or submission only. The secondary main event will be the Royal Rumble itself, in which 30 wrestlers compete in a battle royal for a chance at the title at WrestleMania. Also on the card is Brock Lesnar vs Big Show.

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs was a professional wrestling PPV which took place on December 15, 2013, at the Toyota Center in Houston. The main event was a title unification match between Randy Orton and John Cena in a TLC match for the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship. The titles were hung above the ring with the winner (the first to retrieve them) winning the newly dubbed WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Also on the car was a 3 on 1 Handicap match between the Wyatt Family & Daniel Bryan, The Miz vs Kofi Kingston in a No DQ match, R-Truth vs Brodus Clay, Big E Langston defending the Intercontinental Championship against Damien Sandow, AJ Lee defending the Divas Championship against Natalya, CM Punk vs The Shield in a 3 on 1 Handicap match, and a Fatal Fourway Tag Team Elimination match for the WWE Tag Team Titles between defending champs Cody Rhodes & Goldust and The Real Americans, Big Show & Mysterio, and Ryback & Curtis Axel.

Hosted by The Miz, the compilation features every Money in the Bank Ladder Match in history. The match debuted at WrestleMania 21 in 2005, quickly becoming a WrestleMania tradition and in 2010 proved so popular that it was given its own annual PPV event. Capitol Punishment was a PPV which took place on June 19, 2011 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The main event was the annual Royal Rumble match featuring 40 participants from both brands, instead of the usual number of 30. The primary match on the Raw brand was for the WWE Championship, between reigning champion The Miz and Randy Orton. The primary match on the SmackDown brand was Edge versus Dolph Ziggler for the World Heavyweight Championship. The other featured match on the card was a Fatal Four Way match for the WWE Divas Championship between Eve Torres, Natalya, Layla and Michelle McCool.

TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs (2010) was a PPV that took place on December 19, 2010 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. It was the second annual TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs event. The main event was a non-title Chairs match between John Cena and Wade Barrett. Kane defended the World Heavyweight Championship in a Four-Way TLC match against Edge, Alberto Del Rio, and Rey Mysterio while The Miz defended the WWE Championship against Randy Orton in a Tables match. Other matches include a Ladder match between John Morrison and King Sheamus to determine the number 1 contendership for the WWE Championship, a Tag Team Title rematch between Santino Marella with Vladimir Kozlov against Just Gabriel and Heath Slater, and a Triple Threat Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship between defending champ Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, and Jack Swagger.

Survivor Series (2010) was a PPV that took place on November 21, 2010 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. It was the 24th annual Survivor Series event. The main event was a Pinfall and submissions only match for the WWE Championship between defending champion Randy Orton and Wade Barrett with John Cena as the special guest referee. A second main event was a singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship between Kane and Edge. An annual 5-on-5 Survivor Series elimination match between Team Mysterio (Mysterio, Kofi, Chris Masters, Big Show, and MVP) and Team Del Rio (Alberto Del Rio, Tyler Reks, Drew McIntyre, Swagger, and Cody Rhodes).

Bragging Rights (2010) was a PPV that took place on October 24, 2010 at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The primary match of the evening was a 14-man interpromotional elimination tag match for 'ragging right' between the two brands. Smackdown was represented by Big Show, Mysterio, Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Edge, Tyler Reks, and Kofi while Team raw was composed of The Miz, R-Truth, Shaemus, Santino, John Morrison, CM Punk, and Ezekiel Jackson. The main event was a singles match for the WWE Championship with Randy Orton defending the title against Wade Barrett with the stipulation that if Barrett lost, John Cena would be fired. A second main event was a Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship between defending champion Kane and The Undertaker.

Night of Champions (2010) was a PPV that took place on September 19, 2010 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. It was the fourth annual event under the "Night of Champions" name and the tenth annual event under the Vengeance/Night of Champions chronology. Similar to the previous three events, the concept of the show was that every championship in the company was defended at the event. Randy Orton, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Edge, John Cena, and Chris Jericho competed in a Six-pack challenge elimination match for the WWE Championship. Royal Rumble (2010) was the twenty-third annual Royal RumblePPV. It took place on January 31, 2010 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. As has been customary since 1993, the Royal Rumble match winner received a match at that year's WrestleMania, for his choice at either the WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight Championship, or the ECW Championship. The main event was the annual 30-competitor Royal Rumble match which featured wrestlers from all three brands. The primary match on the Raw brand was for the WWE Championship between champion Sheamus and Randy Orton. The primary match on the SmackDown brand was between The Undertaker and Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship. The featured match on the ECW brand was between Christian and Ezekiel Jackson for the ECW championship.

Survivor Series (2009) was a PPV which took place on November 22, 2009 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.. It was the 23rd annual Survivor Series event. There were two matches that were deemed the main events of the program. The first was the triple threat match featuring The Undertaker defending the World Heavyweight Championship against the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho and The Big Show. This was also followed by the another triple threat main event match with John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Triple H and Shawn Michaels. WWE Superstars is a professional wrestling television program produced by WWE that originally aired on WGN America in the United States. It debuted on April 16, 2009 and ended its domestic broadcasting on April 7, 2011. After the final domestic TV broadcast the show moved to an internet broadcast format while maintaining a traditional television broadcast in international markets. The show features mid-to-low card WWE superstars and divas, in a format similar to the former show WWE Heat which served the same purpose. Big names such as John Cena and Randy Orton previously appeared on the show at its beginning. The show also previously featured talent from the now-defunct ECW brand.

Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) was a professional wrestling promotion based on the former independent Championship Wrestling from Florida promotion, which operated from 1961 until 1987. Cyber Sunday (2006) was the first annual Cyber Sunday PPV. It took place on November 5, 2006 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio replacing Taboo Tuesday. This event had the unique feature of being interactive. Fans could vote for selective characteristics in the scheduled matches, including opponents, stipulations, match types, etc. The voting for the event started on October 16, 2006, and ended during the event. The main event was the "Champion of Champions" match, between WWE's three top champions. The three champions in the match were WWE Champion John Cena, World Heavyweight Champion King Booker, and ECW World Champion The Big Show. The fans could vote for who would defend their championship in this match. The predominant match on the card was D-Generation X versus Rated-RKO. The featured matches on the undercard were Jeff Hardy versus Carlito for the WWE Intercontinental Championship and Lita versus Mickie James in a Diva Lumberjack match for the WWE Women's Championship.

Vengeance (2006) was a PPV which took place on June 25, 2006 at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was the sixth annual Vengeance event. The event starred wrestlers from the Raw brand. The card featured two main events which resulted in Rob Van Dam defending the WWE Championship against Edge and D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) fighting the Spirit Squad (Kenny, Johnny, Mitch, Nicky, and Mikey) in a 5-on-2 Handicap match. One bout was featured on the undercard. In which John Cena competed against Sabu in an Extreme lumberjack match, which featured superstars from the Raw and ECW brands at ringside.
