In the late 1980s, Rose moves from the Ivory Coast to the Paris suburbs with her two young sons, Ernest and Jean. Spanning 20 years from their arrival in France to the present day, the film is the moving chronicle of the construction and deconstruction of a family.

This year, 36 actresses are being highlighted by the Revelations Committee of the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques. Lukas Dhont, a true revelation himself since his first feature film, Girl, was awarded the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018. He chose to feature this new generation of talents within a “dance marathon”, these exhausting competitions which took place in the United States during the Great Depression, magnificently immortalized by Jane Fonda in a film by Sydney Pollack in the 60s. Through the artistic vision of Lukas Dhont, it is no longer a question of confrontation, but on the contrary, of solidarity and cohesion. Times are changing... Agnès have Nadine dangled a few days of hiking together in the Pyrenees. She takes her in fact to pick up hallucinogenic mushrooms on behalf of her boyfriend dealer but Nadine does not know.
