Jovan Rajs

Born: July 25, 1933
Jovan Rajs is a Serbian/Swedish Professor Emeritus of Forensics. During WWII he was deported in 1944 to the Nazi KZ Bergen-Belsen. Later he studied at the Department of Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. In 1968 he and his wife Dina and their two children moved to Sweden.

June 27th, 1945. The norwegian resistance fighter Kai Holst travels to Stockholm. According to witnesses, he's going to "sort something out", and someone will be pale by the results. A day later he is found dead on a stairwell, shot in the head with his own gun. Despite mysterious circumstances, the police quickly concludes with suicide, and the case is dismissed. Case files are classified, and friends and family who ask questions are threatened.In this film, the investigation is resumed 68 years later. Through secret documents and old witness reports, Holst's last 24 hours alive are reconstructed, to find out what really happened.

In the years 1982-84 was three women prostitutes murdered in Stockholm. 27-year-old Catrine da Costa was the third in this row. The murders had similarities that never before was recognized. Two medical doctors identifies as murderers in the media. The two was at first convicted of murder in the district court and then acquitted by the District Court.
