A neurotic, twice-divorced sci-fi writer moves back in with his mother to solve his personal problems.

A man claiming to be Carol Brady's long-lost first husband, Roy Martin, shows up at the suburban Brady residence one evening. An impostor, the man is actually determined to steal the Bradys' familiar horse statue, a $20-million ancient Asian artifact.

Veronica suspects that her husband, an attractive teacher, is unfaithful to her. The worries don't even let her sleep, so she decides to go to a sleep therapy to overcome her pathology.
