Set in the shrine of French dance, the Garnier Opera house, L'Opera follows three characters whose dreams clash with reality, whose ambitions collide with expectations, and whose purity faces corruption.

Family Roland lives in Etretat. Jeanne, the youngest, inherits Mr Marechal's fortune, a friend of the parents. Pierre the elder brother, bogged down in questions, questions the sacredness of the family. Is this money hiding a heavy secret?

The story revolves around the people of Sète, France. Their lives are punctuated by family rivalries, romance and scenes from daily life, but also by plots involving police investigations, secrets and betrayals.
