Summer 1900, Switzerland. Elisabeth, 17, is about to take her vows when the sudden death of her older sister forces her to leave the convent and return to the family farm. Stifled by the suffocating and strict rules of the village, walking in her sister’s step to uncover the mystery of her death, Elisabeth is slowly driven to rebel against the local order and for her right to live her life.

Two men, why vastly different life stories and personalities, embark on a Hearse heading south of France. During their journey, they realize that however unlikely, they're not so different in the end.

In the narrow kitchen of a family home, two women in their fourties are chatting. Out of the blue, one of them kisses the other. But after their intimate moment, the reality of their lives kicks in. Both women are married, in fact one to the other's brother.
