Nasser 56 is a 1996 Egyptian historical film directed by Mohamed Fadel, starring Ahmed Zaki. The film focuses on the nationalization of the Suez Canal by Egypt's second President, Gamal Abdel Nasser, and the subsequent invasion of Egypt by Israel, the United Kingdom, and France.

As the Israeli forces occupy Sinai prior to the War of Attrition, they use an excavator to dig deep in the land, under the pretext they're searching for oil. When the Egyptian authorities discover their true intentions, they try to stop the excavator from reaching Bab El-Mendab.

Faten Tawfiq TV presenter. Her husband, the businessman, is killed by the instructions of some corrupt officials in the field of importation. Faten seeks to uncover these corrupt people, coincidentally meets Ali Hawara, an archive officer at an open-minded company, with documents in his hand condemning these bad guys. Ahmed Zaki plays a peasant, Mountasir, who gets involved in a criminal racket run by his friend Midhat. Mountasir is betrayed by Midhat and goes to jail. Upon discovering that his wife was forced into prostitution by Midhat, he swears to extract revenge when he leaves jail.

A woman kidnaps the child Amina from her family and sells her to a thief, Abu Saree, so that Amina grows up in that gang and becomes a thief. She decides to escape the gang and finds her family.

A capable customs officer is being recruited by a gang to facilitate their smuggling operation. But as he seemingly works for them, he secretly plots with the police to foil their plans.

After a crash, a group of passengers are stranded in the desert. They attempt to cope with their new conditions as the most privileged of them all, an overpaid lawyer, declares himself a dictator of the nearby oasis and names it after him.

Adel is a journalist for a major newspaper, divorced and single, he was married before and has a daughter. One night, in the bar he always visits, he meets Nash'at al Kashef, the son of a the famous businessman Fahmy Al Kashef. Nash'at kills the bartender and he injures the belly dancer Nadia when she refuses to go back to his house with him. Adel calls the police, but Fahmy uses his power to get the accusation off his son. Adel succeeds in reaching Nadia, the only witness, and makes her confess what she saw to the police, who catch Nash'at and send him to court. Adel falls in love with Mosheera, daughter of Fahmy Al Kashef. The court finds Nash'at not guilty, so Adel decides to set justice to the case by his own hands.

A father loses his carpentry workshop after his son-in-law stops paying taxes regularly. His son Hassan, a bus driver, struggles hard to save his father’s workshop, while the daughters try to replace it with a new project inspired by the “Infitah” era.
