Still proudly flaunting its progressive values, a young independent nation prepares to celebrate an all-purpose holiday called The Sovereign. Despite the declared moral superiority, the little nation is rife with inequality, apathy and a strengthening authoritarian framework. For the 24-hour holiday, citizens are encouraged to share their blessings with the less fortunate.

An orphan boy who is constantly being transferred from home to home, makes a wish to stay with his current foster parents. But on the Eve of Christmas, he may have to leave once again.

Carla Andrews and Daniel Marx, a couple in a rocky relationship, decide to take some alone time in the Colorado mountains. After arriving, they quickly learn that they are far from solitude when Carla witnesses a murder at the hands of two cartel hit men.
