Ruben emigrated to the big city, he receives an email from and old friend that will take him back to his hometown and to the place of a horrible memory of his past at the top of the Xinantecatl volanoe.

The grandfather, with his violin over his shoulder, tries to pass the checkpoint, ostensibly to tend his corn crop. The commanding officer lets him pass but insists on a daily music lesson.
