A general's daughter lives in Tambov, in love with a street artist, whom her father disapproves of. The general has a twin brother who heads a criminal gang. Two unsuccessful robbers fail the task, which triggers a string of events that will change lives and destroy families.

1986. Teenagers are killed one by one in the area of the government dachas on Rublevskoye Shosse. Intelligent investigator Valery Kozyrev, his audacious partner from Rostov Evgeny Bokov and very young investigator Natalia Dobrovolskaya begin the investigation, not even knowing how much it will change the fate of each of them. Enraged, Mel challenges the director to a duel with a pair of antique pistols he and his friends had recently found. In this duel the Director is killed, but rather than revulsion, the group of teenagers find the thrill of the duel and the risk of death to be the antidote to their mundane lives. And so, ‘The Black Spring’ dueling club is formed – and with it the series asks, what will these teenagers be prepared to look down the barrel of a gun for?
