A Swedish comedy from 1937. At castle Gyllenskiöld Holm a lawyer reads the deceased Count's will. Son Rouglas inherits the estate in front of Anne-Marie, Countess's daughter and the woman whom the testator had hoped to Rouglas would marry. But there is a supplement in the will to be read out after six months.

Knox owns half of the Circus Saran and acts as a clown there. He hides his circus life from his daughter and is very embarrassed when his daughter finds out his true profession. Hans Moser, who plays Knox, performs poorly, because the character he plays is simply not funny. Leo Slezak, who owns the other half of the circus, as well as Pat and Patachon perform better. The only really good thing about this film is its music, composed by Robert Stolz; especially the song "Ein bisschen Sing-Sang und gute Kameradschaft" , which can be heard throughout the movie.

The attic of a city house is the home to a colony of artists. Among them is a writer, whose corpus is larger than her output. We also meet a hard-of-hearing poet who can still hear the grass growing. There's a painter, a sculptor and more. All are penniless - hoping that one day they will experience their breakthrough. "The Seventh Heaven", as the corridor is called, also houses two prominent residents, Fyrtårnet and Bivognen. They have set up a small diner and engage lively with the artist from the colony.

Fyrtårnet and Bivognen are gardeners at a residence for young women. Here they are friends with budding actress Eva, but when the three reveal one evening during the performance of an illegal theater performance, they are kicked out. By detours, they get on board a schooner, where Fy and Bi play up to dance and get seasick, while Eva still has her course set against the sloping boards.

While enjoying a glorious summer’s day at the beach, Pat and Patachon meet the beautiful Mona, whom they both fall in love with. However, they’re soon given something else to think about when they’re drafted into the armed forces and sent to a cantonment. The two friends struggle to find their place among the other soldiers, and they get into all sorts of escapades. In the room next door lives an old inventor, a good friend of Pat and Patachon"s. He’s been working on a television set for some time now, and it seems that his efforts will bear fruit. Patachon has caught the inventing bug and wants to come up with smokeless and noiseless gunpowder. All the while, Pat becomes increasingly worried about his friend. Two shady gentlemen are now attempting to steal the valuable drawings for the television invention, and Pat and Patachon become suspects in the case. There are many ways to travel! Rich Director Brown's two young daughters prefer a first-class coupe in a high-speed train. While the train whizzes along the rails on its way to the big city, the young ladies in a strange way meet two strange guys, one long and thin, the other small and thick ... Fy and Bi! Fy and Bi are on their way to the capital to look for a place, they have an introductory letter with them, and it turns out that it is for the young ladies' father. The two young ladies promise to put a good word in for them, but director Brown receives Fy and Bi with much distrust, and he throws them out. Through many trials and a breathtaking ride in a motorboat, however, Fy and Bi manage to make a good impression on the director.

Fy and Bi have moved into a very "modern" apartment and they now want to make their careers on the sloping boards. The sidecar is an excellent shooter and his role model is Wilhelm Tell. He therefore gets a brilliant idea: The lighthouse must stand with an apple on its head, and the Beehive will then shoot it down.

Pat and Patachon live in the attic of an old house along with a number of other curious kinds of people. One of the residents is a fortune teller, who tells Patachon that he will inherit a fortune and marry one of the two sweet choir girls who live next door, and whom he happens to be in love with. The two friends don’t think much more of it and instead head off to work, as models for a tailor. They stroll through the streets in sharp suits, in the hopes that the two choir girls will see them and think that they’re wealthy men, who simply live in the run-down house to study the bohemian lifestyle.

Spirits are always high at the quayside pub The Red Rabbit. One day, adventurers Fy and Bi come by to look for work. Their luck is in! A police raid sends all the staff to prison. On the spur of the moment, two women from the upper-middle class decide to study the life of the common people by paying them a visit. A brawl ensues, and Fy and Bi chivalrously bring the two women to safety – or so they think! As a thank you, Hans, who is a sailor, enrols Long and Short as part of the crew on his rich uncle’s boat and invites the entire girls’ institute and its headmistress on a sailing trip. In disguise, Hans hopes to spend some time with Elinor, but once again they fail to deceive the headmistress. Long and Short now come upon the idea of hiring a brickworks, whose owner turns out to be Elinor’s uncle. This one has three segments. In the first, they are ice sailing and fall into the water, where they float for a while, being tormented by seals and swordfish. Then they are rescued by a tramp steamer, where they are befriended by the cook and beaten up by the first officer. They hit port in Bilbao, where they rescue the captain's pretty niece, who seems to have been sold into the degrading life of a taxi dancer. On the way back, Madsen winds up boxing some big guy for a lot of money, with the usual amount of cheating and confusion

When the modest butcher’s wife becomes a wealthy landowner, it immidiately goes to her head. With her new stuck-up attitude, she rejects the long-time butcher’s apprentice when he asks for her daughter’s hand in marriage. Fortunately, the poor butcher’s apprentice is friends with Pat and Patachon, who work in a circus and have experience with clownery. An aging doorman, after being fired from his prestigious job at a luxurious hotel is forced to face the scorn of his friends, neighbours and society.

In a boarding house where young girls are kept under strict surveillance, only two persons of the male persuasion are allowed to enter. The gardeners Pat and Patachon are popular among the girls because they can play the accordion and sing songs, both cheerful and sad. One of the girls has attracted Pat and Patachon’s particular admiration: Eve, who dreams of becoming an actress. They clandestinely rehearse Shakespeare with her, but when their arrangement is discovered she is expelled. The pair follow Eve in secret, and they eventually have to save the naïve girl from the clutches of the horrible people she has trustingly become involved with. Stumfilm. dk

Ahead of a performance in Sweden on 27 April 1923, Pat and Patachon shot a short promotional film titled ‘We’re Coming Back’ with the subtitle in Swedish: ‘A little prelude to the joy of the coming evenings.’ Patachon makes a call from a phone booth in Sweden to one of the phone booths on Kongens Nytorv, in Copenhagen, where Pat happens to be, and the two agree to accept the invitation to spend Easter in Handen, a suburb of Stockholm. Fyrtårnet og Bivognen (aka Pat und Patachon) enter movies - in more ways than one. This was the first one pairing Carl Schenstrøm & Harald Madsen for what became a popular and long-lasting comic duo.

Bastian is an unrelenting skirt-chaser who is never put off by a rejection. Unfortunately for Bastian, the women of his city seem resistant to his charms. And unfortunately for the women of his city, Bastian can’t seem to take a hint. However, a young woman is surprisingly receptive and hands Bastian a note: “Meet me at Basse’s Confectionary at five o’clock”. Is there finally hope for Bastian – or for the four other gentlemen, who, suspiciously, have also turned up right on time? (Stumfilm.dk)

The merchant Blomberg is out in the countryside with his daughters and housekeeper when the idyll is suddenly shattered. The daughters head off to have fun with two young guys from Copenhagen who are on a road trip, and the vagabonds Pat and Patachon seize the chance to interfere for their own gain. The preserved material is the original Swedish version titled 'Landsvägsriddare', translated to 'Tyvepak' in Danish. The film was a huge economic success to the then Swedish owned production company Palladium. It is the first film, in which Pat and Patachon appear as a team, although not in their final constellation: As always, Pat is played by Carl Schenstrøm, whereas Patachon is embodied by Aage Bendixen instead of Harald Madsen. There is another 'Tyvepak' from 1915, which is directed by Lau Lauritzen Sr. as well. This film is a heavily revised version of the 1915-film. (stumfilm.dk)

A fast-paced little farce about the racing enthusiast Hurtigkarl and his sports-mad dream – to see his favourite runner hitched with his daughter Musse. Since Musse would rather be with hairdresser Svipp, Hurtigkarl has to think on his feet: A race between the two rivals must decide the matter – the winner gets to be with Musse until the end of days. When Halfdan’s old flame, Karina, comes to town, the reaction of his jealous wife Märthe begins to concern him. But Halfdan has no clue that they’re in fact childhood friends, and the two women agree to keep Halfdan in the dark for a little while longer. When Märthe is on her way out of town, Halfdan sees an opportunity to replace his jealous wife with an actress in order to impress Karina. Kattrup, involved as a manager at Steensgaard. Steenfeld receives visits by county governor Markdanner and her daughter Rose. The Countess is planning a marriage between Rose and Jörgen, but Jörgen is secretly in love with the orphan Helga Anthon, called Pips. In the main protagonist’s household, his wife, Ilsebil, calls all the shots. Even on his own birthday he cannot get a word in edgewise, and when some friends invite him out for the evening, his wife takes the key to the front door so he cannot get out. The man-hungry “vampire,” later to be popularized by America’s Theda Bara, made her screen debut in this Danish melodrama directed by August Blom. Clara Wieth starred in the title role of the Vampire Dancer, which is just what she was: a dancer performing her seductions on-stage. Off-stage, the young girl is kindhearted and a bit naïve. The lustful dance, during which Robert Dinesen succumbs to the dancer’s fatal charms, remained the centerpiece of the film, which was a popular success and made Wieth an international star.

On a holiday, the family Gram meets a young, mysterious man who turns out to be a Mormon. In spite of her fiancèe's presence, the daughter Nina is drawn to the stranger. Hypnotized, she soon follows his every step. When she finally awakes from her trance, she finds herself on a ship to Utah, in the clutches of a dangerous man. (Stumfilm.dk)

However, without hesitation, the count left her heartbroken for a rich aristocratic girl who seduced him. Years later, the count refuses to pay alms to the gypsy camp, so a couple of desperate gypsies decide to kidnap his five-year-old daughter. The film is based on the true story of the Danish-Norwegian sea hero Peter Wessel Tordenskiold’s exploits during the Great Northern War of 1709 to 1720. The action is composed of a number of significant events, such as the departure with the frigate Løvendals Galej in 1912, the Battle of Colberghejde in 1715, Tordenskiold’s elevation to nobility in 1916 and his death in 1920.
