The Master and Margarita (Mistrz i Małgorzata) is a four-part Polish television production based on the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov.

Adaptation of novel by Eliza Orzeszkowa. The film is set in 1886 in Lithuania, is spins around a conflict between Bohatyrowicz family and aristocrat family in Korczyn. Against the background of the social and family disputes was shown topic of love between Justyna Orzelska, niece of Benedykt Korczyński, and Jan Bohatyrowicz. The theme of the film is the Battle of Somosierra, which took place during the Napoleonic Wars. During this battle, Polish cavalrymen under the command of Jan Leon Kozietulski crossed a two-and-a-half kilometre long gorge and a pass within 7 minutes, paving the way for Napoleon Bonaparte's troops to Madrid

"The Dancing Hawk" refers to the son of a peasant who senses he can climb to the job in troubled times by playing his cards right. His slavery to work match his ambitions, and gradually he reaches the social position he desires. But the costs have included a dehumanized soul and a loss of a moral conscience. People have had to pay for his advancement, including those nearest to him. The downfall is equally painful: either imprisonment or the easy wasy out are offered as the alternatives.

Despite being historically accurate the movie is both involving and entertaining since the case was simple on the surface, but very complicated in details.

After Poland won freedom from of its long overlordship by Russia and the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, it took a further four years for its National Assembly to elect Gabriel Narutowicz as its first president. Narutowicz was a professor who until his election had been living in Switzerland. Those were chaotic times, and shortly after his election, he was assassinated by right-wing fanatics. This epic Polish film chronicles the circumstances of Narutowicz's election and assassination.

To do so he first uses the diabolical elixirs kept at the monastery as a rare relic. When the young monk gets expelled from the monastery, Viktorin prepares another trap with the help of Aurelie's stepmother Euphemie (Milena Dvorská).
