UFC Fight Night 89: MacDonald vs. Thompson was a mixed martial arts event held on June 18, 2016 at TD Place Arena in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The card was headlined by a welterweight bout between former UFC Welterweight Championship challenger Rory MacDonald and five-time kickboxing world champion Stephen Thompson.

UFC on Fox 17: dos Anjos vs. Cowboy 2 was a mixed martial arts event that took place on December 19, 2015 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. This was the last UFC event in 2015. The event was headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between current champion Rafael dos Anjos and top contender Donald Cerrone. Dos Anjos won their first fight at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2 by unanimous decision.

It was the first UFC event held in Philadelphia. The event featured the second title defense of Lightweight Champion BJ Penn against Kenny Florian, and a non-title Light Heavyweight bout for Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva against former Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin.

UFC 96: Jackson vs. Jardine a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). It was held in Columbus, Ohio on March 7, 2009 at Nationwide Arena. The card was headlined by a Light Heavyweight bout between Quinton Jackson and Keith Jardine. Following the main event, Rashad Evans, training partner of Jardine and then-Light Heavyweight Champion, entered the cage and publicly challenged Jackson. It resulted in a long-standing feud between the two that would not be settled until 2010.

UFC 78: Validation was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), that took place on November 17, 2007 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Validation was the first UFC event held in New Jersey since June 4, 2005's UFC 53: Heavy Hitters in Atlantic City. The main event featured TUF 2 Heavyweight winner Rashad Evans against TUF 3 Light Heavyweight winner Michael Bisping in a light heavyweight contest.

UFC Fight Night 10: Stout vs. Fisher was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The main event was a rematch from a UFC 58 fight in which Fisher was a late replacement for Stouts opponent, and he had to cut a lot of water weight just to fight. Stout won their first fight by split decision.
