A comedy about the lives of the staff of the fictional Hoërskool Oos.

An idealistic British drama school teacher, Jodi Rutherford, persuades a cynical South African farmer to prepare her for a role in a major film as an Afrikaans war heroine. In return Jodi undertakes to direct the annual concert on the Willemse farm. Jodi's interaction with the quirky small town citizens and the stubborn Kobus, teaches her that: "there is more to life than lights... camera... and action!"

Through the lives of the two main characters, Pieter (Renier Weideman) and James (Jacques Gombault), the reality of life’s circumstances are being sketched. Molly en Wors is a situation comedy (sitcom) that was broadcast on kykNET from 2009 to 2011. The program revolves around the dysfunctional Visagie family who live in a luxurious Tuscan Villa within Johannesburg. The family members consist of Wors, Molly, Vaatjie and Blapsie. The underlying humor lies in irony, the exposure of double standards, allusion, as well as the "parvenu" that comes out.
