Kitao Sakurai

Kitao Sakurai is a writer and director, known for The Eric Andre Show (2012), Aardvark (2010) and Coda (2003).

Sakurai was born in Kinugasa Japan and was raised in Cleveland Ohio. He began his career as a child actor, appearing in films such as Kevin Smith's Dogma (1999) and Best of The Best 3 (1995). Sakurai then turned his focus towards cinematography, lensing Ry-Russo Young's You Wont Miss Me (2009) and Edwin Decena's Transformations (2006) along with countless "dirty south" hip-hop videos. in 2010 Sakurai wrote and directed Aardvark, the first narrative feature film to star a blind person. Sakurai then went on to develop and direct The Eric Andre Show, now in it's fourth season on Adult Swim.
