12-year-old Mariana and her stepbrother Marcus end up in a home-built rocket. Behind the rocket construction are Albert, a slightly crazy scientist, and his helper Lemming, a talking lemming.

The series took place in and around an apartment in an exclusive neighbourhood in Stockholm, Artillerigatan 35 and later Styrmansgatan 52 in the same area. The series began with three seasons from fall 1998 to fall 1999, thereafter additionally two seasons were added in 2003–2004. All seasons have been released on DVD. While her parents are absent, Isabell has invited a few of her closest, best-behaving friends to celebrate New Year's Eve in her house. However, the good spirit turns sour when some older guys crash the party. The alcohol they bring put the teens in a frenzied state where friends become enemies, couples cheat on each other and medical student Peter is almost killed in a party they won't easily forget.

Kalle, an 18-year-old boy, has ended up on the wrong path in life. He hangs out mostly with a bunch of racist young punks. Carlos is a 16-year-old boy, he has lived in Sweden most of his life with his mother and her older brother. His father remains in his native Bolivia. Carlos and his brother are part of a small gang consisting mostly of immigrants. The film is about the conflict between Kalle and Carlos, as well as their respective gangs, a conflict with tragic consequences.
