He received a drama scholarship to Kingswood College in Melbourne in 2000 and later studied at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE). Martin played a lead role in his first film, "Lake Mungo", released in 2007. He is now a Motion Graphics & 3D animation specialist.
