Friends in Chi Omega and Friend In Pooh

Both are red & yellow – I wonder if there is a coincidence…

I cannot begin to thank my Chi O sister, Kathy and her hubby and daughter, JP and Christine for the over the top, wonderful gift of Poohs to the Guinness Collection.  From vintage curtains, linens and towels, books, snowglobes, toys and stickers to a 36” California Toys Stuffed Pooh!  Amazing!!  Big Pooh looks like he just came off the shelf but is certainly from the 1970s. 

I remember when I was a kid I entered a content to win a large Pooh like this one.  I watched the winner’s name announced during a commercial on a Sunday during the Wonderful World of Walt Disney – sadly it wasn’t me.  Now, twenty-something years later (WATCH IT) the coveted Big Pooh has come to live in Pooh-ville.

This Pooh was given to Christine by her grandfather.  I plan to get the details of how this HUGE character got from California to IL from grandpa – I bet the backstory will be wonderful.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart (and Pooh’s hunny pot) for this fantastic collection gift.

(just for the record.... Christine is now 21 -- she was 2 in the photo.  NO... I didn't take the big Pooh from a child...)
