Happy National Winnie the Pooh Day

... and happy Birthday to A.A. Milne

Who would have known 132 years ago the birth of an author would have affected someone in Waukesha, WI in 2014.

On January 18, 1882 Alan Alexander Milne was born in Hampstead, London.  He has a very interesting background -- having served in the Britsh Army before his career as a novelist, playwrite and poet.

I often wonder if he and his wife, Daphne, had not had their son Christopher Robin Milne and CR had not taken such a liking to Winnie the Bear in the London Zoo -- would I still be a collector -- and if so -- what would I have collected... Snoopy -- not bad, Smurfs -- oh, bother.  Thank goodness it is Pooh. 

To celebrate National Winnie the Pooh Day -- I HAVE to watch the Pooh Video Gary and I created showcasing some of the Pooh jackets and shirts I have in my Guinness World Record Collection of "The Largest Pooh and Friends Memorabilia".  The ending with "Mr Wiggles" is still my favorite part!!
